Sub vânt de Lună plină , Mai albă ca fantoma Crăciunului trecut, Nătângă, latră vulpea, Iar bufnița suspină ,  În codrul de demult.  În vale, râul vuie,  Și-n pietre se anină, Sclipind vânjos și surd, Cascade-atârnă-n cuie Și astre reci coboară  Din nouri pe pământ.  S-au uns cu mir copacii,  Și gângurind din umbră ,  Cărările pitesc ; Prin neguri pușcă dracii, Sub stâncă lupii umblă ,  Nălucile domnesc.  În cercuri se revarsă  Din Lună, curcubee,  În gând, prin ochii vii,  Și cânt la lighioane,  Iubind, ca Sfânta Vineri,  Si monștrii ei copii.  Se joacă între ele Văzute - Nevăzute,  Mimând Nimicul mut; Si maiestuoase stele Apar, ca să aducă  Nimicului tribut.
